Caring Friends

"Blessed are those that mourn…"

Jesus taught that those who were mourning the loss of a loved one were to be seen as needing the care and concern of his disciples, the Christian community. Our Caring Friends group meets this need by providing strength and encouragement to those who are grieving and also to hospital-bound parishioners. They also take Eucharist and prayer to homebound parishioners; assist with funeral receptions; provide group sessions on grief support; and assist with Masses of Anointing .
