Children's Religious Education

Our children are our present and our future; the future of our church, our community and our country. What they learn and live now will impact our lives, their lives and the lives of their children for many years to come. St. John's Religious Education program strives to cultivate in all participants: a deep knowledge of their faith; full, active and conscious participation in the life of the church; moral formation; an attitude of prayer and contemplation; a true sense of belonging to our Christian community; and active participation in the mission of the church.

Catechesis is built on a number of elements of the Church's pastoral mission, which are: the initial proclamation of the Gospel or missionary preaching to arouse faith; examination of the reasons for belief; experience of Christian living; celebration of the sacraments; integration into the ecclesial community; and apostolic and missionary witness.

If you are interested in teaching children our Catholic faith, please contact Lola Espinoza at 707-255-3533 for more information.

If you have ever helped anyone in need, if you have ever given anyone the opportunity to help you, then you experienced true grace — God's free gifts to us!
