Our Needs
Recognizing the evident growth and vibrant levels of activity in our parish, a Five-Year Planning Council was established in 2009 to determine how to continue to provide for the needs of St. John the Baptist Catholic faith family of today and for future generations.
Prayerfully and diligently, the council gathered information from members of virtually all parish ministries and services and reviewed findings with all the parish leadership and councils—church and school—English and Spanish. An assessment of current buildings was undertaken, assisted by professional engineers, architects, and energy experts to determine how to best utilize current facilities, achieve efficiencies in operating expenses, and what new facilities would provide St. John the Baptist Parish to retain its unique, vital place of ministry and service to the community.
In July 2010, after months of intensive prayers, planning and design reviews, the Planning Council and Parish received approval from the Diocese of Santa Rosa to move forward with our building plans. The Master Plan will be developed over a period of seven years in three phases of construction.
